KEY POINTS - REQUIREMENTS:

-The Dietology PA is mandatory in the 8th semester of study and involves:
✓ a total duration of four (4) months,
✓ five (5) working days per week,
✓ on a full-time basis.

-It can be carried out either in the prefecture of Messinia or in other prefectures of Greece and Attica.

-Three types of internships are offered:

Internships with private funding through a program agreement between the Department and the Host Organization,

ERASMUS+ internships (Erasmus+ (https://www.uop.gr/erasmus-uop) . The department responsible for the Erasmus+ program is the Public and International Relations Department of the Institution

Subsidized Internship through the NSRF program entitled "University of Peloponnese Internship for the academic years 2024-2025, 2025-2026 and 2026-2027" and OPS Code 6022357 in the "Human Resources and Social Cohesion 2021-2027" Program.

-The PA is carried out in a subject area related to that of the Department and can be conducted in a clinical or non-clinical environment, i.e. in hospitals (public or private), in the community (e.g. private offices, laboratories, institutes, NGOs, foundations, sports clubs), as well as in food distribution and production companies.

-For each intern, a supervisor is appointed from the teaching staff of the Department who will monitor the process of completing the PA, the progress of the student, and will act as the link between the Host Organization and the Department.

-Candidates for the PA who meet the requirements must register on the ATLAS platform (https://atlas.grnet.gr/) with their institutional account.

-Those who have completed the 6th semester of study, have completed 50% of the courses offered up to the 3rd academic year, as well as 5 core/specialization courses, are eligible to participate in the PA:
1. Nutritional Assessment,
2. Basic Principles of Clinical Nutrition,
3. Clinical Nutrition I,
4. Clinical Nutrition II,
5. Pathophysiology I

-The mandatory deliverables of the PA to the Department, either through private funding or through the NSRF program, are submitted to the "ASSIGNMENTS" tab in the course's eclass, after the expiration date of the contract, and include:

• PA completion form from ERGANI
• student evaluation questionnaire signed (and stamped) by the Agency
• internship evaluation questionnaire signed by the student
• activity report signed by the student and the Agency
• a grade form signed (and stamped) by the Organization

solutions to 8 cases with daily diet plans corrected and signed with the Organization's stamp. If the PA is carried out in a non-dietary environment (e.g., industry, food laboratory), a written or oral assignment is submitted, as instructed by the Supervisor.
