WHAT IS THE ERASMUS+ PROGRAM?
The Erasmus+ program takes its name from the recognition of the Erasmus program within the framework of previous European programs for higher education. The European Commission's program for education, training, youth, and sports aims to promote skills, employability, and the modernization of education, training, and youth systems in all areas of lifelong learning. Erasmus+ enables students enrolled in higher education institutions at all levels of study (undergraduate, graduate, doctoral) to move to a partner institution abroad with full recognition for the duration of their studies. There is also the possibility of undertaking an internship at a host organization abroad with full recognition for the duration of their project (information: erasmus.uop.gr).
THE ERASMUS+ PROCEDURE AT TEDD
Student mobility at TEDD is facilitated through Erasmus+ and is centrally regulated by the institutional Erasmus+ regulation (PAPEL). TEDD supervises the operation of Erasmus+ in the department through an academic coordinator appointed by the General Assembly. The academic coordinator works with the Erasmus+ office of the University of the Peloponnese, as well as with host institutions, and also ensures that new agreements are concluded that reflect the research and scientific interests of the department. In addition, the coordinator organizes informational meetings to promote the program and evaluates applications for Erasmus+ scholarships for students in the department, as well as applications from incoming Erasmus+ students, once per semester. On an individual level, they guide students on all academic issues related to mobility, from choosing an institution to selecting courses abroad. In addition, they are responsible for the recognition of courses in their department. Finally, the coordinators also supervise the smooth integration of incoming Erasmus+ students into the department and provide them with counseling. Informative material on the partner institutions for outgoing students is available at Erasmus+ UOP.
SUBSIDIES/BENEFITS

Students are also given the opportunity to undertake optional internships through Erasmus+ at institutions abroad.
