Graduates of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of the Peloponnese can work as dietitians and nutritionists in primary healthcare institutions (public hospitals, municipal clinics, Health Centers, Rehabilitation and Recovery Services, Elderly Care Units), in the community sector (Private Clinics, Medical Centers, Dietetic Offices), in Sports Organizations (Sports Teams, Clubs), in companies in the food and nutritional supplements sector (Food and Beverage Production and Distribution Industries, Pharmaceutical Companies, Catering Establishments, Hotels), in Educational Institutions, in International and National Organizations (EFET, EOF) or to practice the profession of Dietitian-Nutritionist privately.
They are required to obtain a certificate of professional practice from the competent services of the relevant Regions of the country and may register as members of health professional associations established under public law.
For employment in the public sector, graduates of the Department are classified in the field/specialty of DIETETICS, in accordance with the new qualifications framework as defined by Presidential Decree 85/2022 (A'/232).
The professional rights of graduates of the Department are regulated by Presidential Decrees 78/1989 (A'/36) and 133/2014 (A'/213) and the provisions of Article 32 of Law 4999/2022 (A'/225).
